Do’s and Don’ts for Picking Up a Girl on the Pub Crawl

Bar crawls are always a good time.

You get to hang out with friends, meet a lot of new people and probably get to get drunk! Then after you get drunk, people are quite often trying to get lucky… and let’s face it, alcohol helps a lot with this!

In my experience, for lots of guys when it comes to pub crawls, the first two things that come to their minds are alcohol and flirting. So as an experienced pub crawl host, I've decided to give you guys some tips about talking to girls on a night out:

1) Smile
It doesn't cost anything and it makes you look sexy

2) Ask questions
This seems obvious, but it's surprising how many men don't do this! You know what woman like? Attention! (Also; kittens, flowers and cupcakes). If you seem curious about the woman sitting across from you, she will like it. For sure!

3) Listen
You can't just ask a bunch of questions, and then not listen to the answer. Any d**chebag can simply ask us questions and then stare off into space absently while we answer. Girls don't fall for that! Call us demanding, but in addition to expressing a verbal interest in our lives, we expect you to stick around in the conversation long enough to hear our response!

4) Tell us that we are beautiful… once!
We know you are trying to pay us a compliment and that's lovely, but seriously, once is enough. Overdoing it can make it seem forced.

5) Avoid the question 'Do you like me?'
If I have to pick out one single phrase that shuts a woman’s attraction switch off permanently, this is it. So don't ask, just assume she likes you, and go from there ;)

6) Don't look desperate
I can’t explain this one any more for you I’m afraid. Just don’t.

7) Never try to approach a girl two seconds after you met her
Give it a little bit of time first…

8) Don't ask stupid questions
Okay, caveat to point number 2… be careful with the questions you’re asking; nobody likes stupid or annoying people. Try to be cool with what you’re asking (leave the ‘so do you get hit on a lot doing this job?’ questions at the door) and in the worst-case scenario someone will at least appreciate that you've put an effort.

I know that these points may not work for everyone, and if you don’t like this advice maybe just have a few drinks and go with the flow?! But in my opinion getting out there, having a drink and being confident talking to new people is the best way to meet - and potentially pick up?! – girls on a pub crawl.
